The Bardini Gardens, perched on a hill overlooking Florence between Costa San Giorgio and Borgo San Niccolò, has long been celebrated for its stunning panoramic views and beauty. Originally a Florentine Baroque garden featuring grottoes, statues, and fountains in the 16th and 17th centuries, it later transformed in the 19th century into an Anglo-Chinese garden and then into a Victorian garden with rosebush borders and various ornamental plants, reflecting seven centuries of gardening.
Inside the garden is La Loggetta, an open-aired café / bar. I was so pleased to provide the artwork on their menu for the 2024 season!
This garden means so much to me - it is a highlight of my trip every time I visit Florence! To have my art on the menu of a place I love so much means the world to me!
