Bibliosofia e Arte, is named in tribute to Bibliosofia, a project founded by two friends: Fabio Brotto and my father, Egidio Marchese.
Fabio, a former professor of Italian literature in Veneto, Italy created the original Bibliosofia website as a platform to share his philosophical and literary writings. Egidio, a former professor of Italian literature in Toronto, Canada expanded on Fabio’s vision by establishingBibliosofia Canada where he contributed his literary essays on Canadian literature and conducted interviews with Canadian authors.
Bibliosofia e Arte is a continuation of their legacy, but reflects my own inquiries and research. This collection of essays and writings is dedicated to the intersection of literature, philosophy, and art. In it, I hope to convey the transformative power of literature (biblio), pursue knowledge through philosophy (sophia), and creative expression through art (arte) — echoing my father’s work while contributing my own voice in the worlds of literature, philosophy and art.
